This funny and unusual musical melodrama based on the Mail Order Brides phenomena of the Old West is ideal for small cast production. Jenny McCarty has been corresponding with Lt. Ernest Straytontall but cannot bring herself to reveal that she is an orphan girl, working at the factory looms. She invents a fictitious character named Jasamine Demerest as the author of her letters. Alas, when she arrives from the East, villainous Alonzo T. Flicks discovers her true identity and threatens to reveal the truth to Jenny's beloved. Lt. Straytontall saves Jenny from Flicks' evil grasp in the closing moments of the play.
